Our special school educates Children with Special Needs (CWSN) and young adults in a way that addresses their individual differences and needs.

We follow Individualized educational plan and systematically monitored arrangement of teaching procedures, adapted equipment and materials, and accessible settings.

Our classes caters different age groups and they are named as:

• Pearl – 2 to 5 years
• Ruby – 5 to 9 years
• Gold – 9 to 13 years
• Emarald – 14 to 18 years
• Diamond – Above 18 years
• Student Teacher Ratio – 6:2

UDAI’s early intervention unit is its key strength. Early intervention is a systematic program of therapy, exercises and activities designed to address developmental delays that may be experienced by children with intellectual disabilities in the age group of 0 to 7 years. It plays a crucial role. Services here are designed to identify and meet a child’s needs in five areas, including: physical, cognitive, communication, social or emotional and adaptive development. The focus is to help the child in learning school readiness skills leading to mainstream in normal school.

We at UDAI, provide a structured school readiness program by teaching skills and preparing the child for successful inclusion in mainstream class room.

Intensive training is given in social skills, communication and language. Interventions are designed and support is provided to children who are already placed in mainstream schools, but may need additional support, including coping with mainstream academics.

We at UDAI, believe that life skill program is important for adaptive functioning. Art & craft provides for creative self-expression and emotional well-being. Vocational skills enhance their productivity and makes them self-reliant. This program plays a crucial role in cognitive, social, emotional and skill development. It is a part of the curriculum which are taught based on the capability of each student. Pre vocational training includes utilizing teaching aids developed by the UDAI`s multidisciplinary professionals. These teaching aids are specially designed to meet specific learning disabilities, determined by extensive testing and evaluation of each child.

A learning centre specially designed for children with learning disabilities like reading, writing, spellings, comprehension etc. in regular schools.  Our trained faculty supports the children in appearing Class 10^th and 12^th exams conducted through National Institute of Open Schooling.
